It has been a wonderful week here in Webrepreneur land thanks to the help of Sonia Simone and Lara Kulpa. In case you missed them, I had a couple guest posts published this week. The first at Copyblogger being about 3 fatal conditions that are killing good blogs and the 2nd on Twitip about how to build influence with Twitter.
This is video from the problogger Wordcamp presentation by Chris Garrett, Darren Rowse, and Jeremy Wright. They answered some great questions, including a few of my own. The topics are all over the place, which is great because there’s something for both beginners and pro’s in this one.
It dawned on my last night that I don’t talk often enough about how to actually turn your passion into profits. I mean after all, that’s what we all want most out of life right? There’s no feeling like being able to do what you love…each and every day of your life, without worrying about how to pay the bills or never having enough time in the day. Before I do that though, I’d like to tell you my story:
Most superheroes are lame. They wear silly outfits, have terrible social lives, and frequently suffer with bouts of self-doubt and relationship problems. Batman, on the other hand, is a total badass. He parties by day and fights crime by night. He doesn’t have any natural ability like super human strength or lightning speed, but he’s still able to conquer the streets of Gotham City. He’s also wealthy, thanks in part to his business sense and the people on his cast. Sure, he deals with some minor psychological issue, but hey, don’t we all?
This is the video I captured of Chris Brogan talking about elevating your game and going to the next level. You’ll have to forgive the video quality, as it was taken with a Flip Camera at the back of the room. Chris says some great things here, so try to listen to the whole piece.
