So true, and it really bugs me. Twitter gives these people even more of a voice to do this and I think it is an unfortunate trend that is only going to get worse. I fell prey a bit today when I found out that my favorite Pitch Man Billy Mays had passed, but for the most part I’m too busy to worry about the lives of “celebrities.”

I’d put pseudo newscasters right up there on the list next to spammers on Twitter.

Bravo Nathan!

Its not just on Twitter but the media in general as well. You would think that there was little else going on the world. What does this say about us as a society? I don’t get it. When did we give up leading our lives as ourselves and allowed ourselves to get hijacked – living dreams vicariously, through celebrities! Do we think that if we live and die through their lives that ours are let off the hook?

Aaaah…. but I am going down a rabbit trail and a very long winded one!

I agree. Tweeting for the sake of online voicing is just another form of noise and it is both boring and annoying.
