Bring Your Friends Along

Success is like a party, it isn’t any fun unless you bring your friends along. Sure, you’ll find out who your friends really are at some point, but who wants to be alone when they get there?

Don’t be the type of blogger or Twitterer that promotes yourself and doesn’t share any of the love. Spread the love by propping others up and you’ll find that your brand and your market will expand on their own.

Great point! We have to give a lot to get a little. Over time this adds up and because all these people are helping bring us along. I’ve been using this method over the last year and it’s made a big difference.

I like your point of Chris Brogan and Gary V. They don’t need to promote anyone else anymore, but that’s not who they are. They know that their careers were built by other people (fans and colleagues) and they want to keep giving back.
