Blogger Beats is Here

I can’t say that I’ve ever been more excited about a project, which is odd because this is the most inexpensive product/service I’ve brought to market (you can try it for $1).

Why am I excited? Let’s talk about that:

1. I’m a huge music fan, and even though my music career failed miserably both early and often, I’ve found a way to claw back up and get involved with a music project that works. The best part is…I don’t have to make the music, and I can listen to someone that is more talented than I am that has the ability to make the kind of music I like.

2. This is brand new…nothing like it exists on the market. I preach all the time about being innovative and blazing new trails, and I’m here to say that I’m walking the walk and not just talking the talk.

3. I can help people. This is always the goal, but with Blogger Beats, Oleg and I can help people in a way that we haven’t been able to do before now. People seem to really get in the groove when they listen to Blogger Beats.

4. Blogger Beats was meant to be. As I was talking to Oleg on the phone last night, he told me his feelings about the project, and used the line: “I’m doing this because I have to.” That’s exactly how I feel too. We’re not doing this to make money, but because we have to. The creation process, the collaboration, and the energy that comes out on the other side…well, it just has to happen.

How it Began

Blogger Beats began on a whim…an idea (remarkably similar to most everything else I’ve worked on). Oleg loved it, and we got to work. We didn’t really have to talk about much…we just retreated to our corners and did our thing, catching up via email every now and then.

That’s how thing should be. Creators create, and the product comes together without the little things getting in the way.

As a result, we’ve come up with something that’s incredibly enjoyable to listen to, and I don’t say that because I helped create it. It’s just really fun and full of energy.

Let me know what you think.

I can't say that I've ever been more excited about a project, which is odd because this is the most inexpensive product/service I've brought to market (you can try it for $1 (http://bloggerbeats.com)).

Why am I excited? Let's talk about that:

In today’s podcast, I spend some time talking about a topic that’s been bothering me, which is the difference between making money and building a business. Furthermore, it’s not just about the money, but about what you can bring to the table.

As always, you can subscribe via iTunes or RSS.

Project Update

I’m going to start combining my project updates with my weekly podcasts so that I can kill two birds with 1 stone. Although I won’t always have anything exciting to share, I’m going to try and do a better job of giving you the low down nitty gritty details on a regular basis.

Blogger Beats

Yep, I’m already pushing this one hard, but it’s because it’s something I believe in (it’s also very fun to create). I like trying new things, pushing the limits, and testing the market.

Blogger Beats is something I haven’t seen done before, so it will be interesting to see how it fares. That being said, make sure to check it out and let me know what you think. Sign up for the launch list so you can get your bonus Mokhov Mix, and also find out about the launch special.

We’re opening up on May 1st, which is just around the corner…time flies when you’re working hard

Anyway, this project is not a podcast, but a weekly show (around 60 minutes) that combines energetic music with a dose of inspiration, business discussion, and a swift kick in the ass. Our goal is to create something that you can listen to on a regular basis in order to stay motivated, energized, and focus on results.

I’ve had a lot of people ask me what that means, and the best way I can describe it is BT meets Tony Robbins meets Seth Godin…how’s that for a hybrid?

Here’s where you can check it out.

Roark Media

This is something that’s been in the works for a long time…I just needed the right partner to pull it off. Considering I’ll be moving to Tampa soon, where my buddy Rich Lazzara hangs out, this worked out to be a perfect fit.

We’re doing something that I believe in, which is helping to spread the word of social media, blogging, and digital marketing in a way that isn’t complicated or expensive. We want to make it easy for small businesses to go digital, and I think we’ve created a system that can do that.

We’re not launched yet, but our first product is called Silo, and you can check it out here:

Silo – Complete Digital Marketing System

Interviews

Lastly, as part of my effort to create awareness for these projects, I’m opening myself up for guest posts and interviews. If you’re interested, click here to read more.

<itunes:summary>In today's podcast, I spend some time talking about a topic that's been bothering me, which is the difference between making money and building a business. Furthermore, it's not just about the money, but about what you can bring to the table.

As always, you can subscribe via iTunes (http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewPodcast?id=354152872) or RSS (http://feeds.feedburner.com/webrepreneurradio).
Project Update
I'm going to start combining my project updates with my weekly podcasts so that I can kill two birds with 1 stone. Although I won't always have anything exciting to share, I'm going to try and do a better job of giving you the low down nitty gritty details on a regular basis.

Blogger Beats

Yep, I'm already pushing this one hard, but it's because it's something I believe in (it's also very fun to create). I like trying new things, pushing the limits, and testing the market.

Blogger Beats is something I haven't seen done before, so it will be interesting to see how it fares. That being said, make sure to check it out and let me know what you think. Sign up for the launch list so you can get your bonus Mokhov Mix, and also find out about the launch special.

We're opening up on May 1st, which is just around the corner...time flies when you're working hard :)

I've had a lot of people ask me what that means, and the best way I can describe it is BT meets Tony Robbins meets Seth Godin...how's that for a hybrid?

Here's where you can check it out (http://bloggerbeats.com).

Roark Media (http://roarkmedia.com)

This is something that's been in the works for a long time...I just needed the right partner to pull it off. Considering I'll be moving to Tampa soon, where my buddy Rich Lazzara hangs out, this worked out to be a perfect fit.

We're doing something that I believe in, which is helping to spread the word of social media, blogging, and digital marketing in a way that isn't complicated or expensive. We want to make it easy for small businesses to go digital, and I think we've created a system that can do that.

We're not launched yet, but our first product is called Silo, and you can check it out here:

Silo - Complete Digital Marketing System (http://getasilo.com)

Interviews

Lastly, as part of my effort to create awareness for these projects, I'm opening myself up for guest posts and interviews. If you're interested, click here (http://nathanhangen.posterous.com/im-open-for-interviews) to read more.

This has been an exciting week for me. I’m getting very close to pre-launch on two awesome projects, and I was featured in a few great interviews recently that I think you’ll enjoy.

Interviews

The first interview was done via email by John of Jet Set Citizen, and I can’t stress enough how thankful I am for his patience in waiting for the answers.

He asked some great questions, and I don’t think I’ve answered any like them until now. Oh, and ignore that part about superstar marketer…I’m not there yet

Check it out.

The second was done a month or so ago by my friend Susan Baker, also known as the Escape Hatcher. Susan and I met on Twitter (I think) and just hit it off. She’s an awesome person and an inspiring entrepreneur.

I interviewed her months ago, and she promised to bring me on to the Escape Podcast. Our interview was only supposed to be 30 minutes, but she was asking such great questions and we were having such a great talk that we finished in just under 60 minutes.

Like John’s interview above, she hit me with some great questions that I hadn’t had anywhere else, so check it out and let me know what you think.

The Empire is Growing

Today is also a big day because I’m finally able to talk about a few projects I’ve been working on behind the scenes. These were “hush hush” until now, but since we’re close to moving into pre-launch, I thought I’d let you take a peek.

Let’s just call this phase “pre-pre-launch.”

Blogger Beats

Oleg Mokhov and I have been working on this one for quite some time. I’m a huge fan of his music mixes (which include original tunes) and was dying to find a way for him and I to work together. I think we found it.

If you enjoy my podcast and/or Mokhov Mixes, then you’re going to love this.

Blogger Beats is going to open up soon, so take a look and make sure to tell your friends about it. We’re going to be offering some cool bonuses during the launch, so stay tuned!

Roark Media

I met Rich Lazzara in Las Vegas during Blogworld 2009. In fact, I think it was David Risley that introduced us.

We hit it off pretty well and spent the rest of the week talking about business. I knew instantly that this guy was a die-hard entrepreneur with some big ideas, so of course we had to find a project to work on.

Roark Media is the result.

Why Roark? Well, Howard Roark (The Fountainhead) is one of my favorite protagonists of all time. Empowered individuals make the world a better place, and our vision at Roark is to empower small businesses to achieve their highest goal so that they can help the world achieve theirs.

The triumph of the individual returns…embodied in Roark Media.

Our first product, which is called Silo, will be launched very soon. Stay tuned!

This is what I call the Saturday Project Update, which I use to tell you what’s going on in my business and share the highlights of my week.

The truth is that this week has been hard on me. I’m not sure why, but I’ll try to work my way through it here…

Beyond Blogging Project

This has been a long time coming. This is built on the core of my business, which is to help people realize that they can achieve the impossible.

Originally, this project was going to be much smaller, but having bought and been disappointed by a variety of “memberships” lately, Mike and I decided to go in a different direction.

We felt that people weren’t getting the real help they need…that they were expected to pay for cookie cutter solutions and figure out how to adapt their business to those solutions, rather than to adapt the solutions to their business.

Having been through the up’s and down’s of building a business online, I’ve learned that having someone to talk to can make the difference between a business that’s on fire and a business that’s on life support.

So we created the Beyond Blogging Project to address these issues. It’s a 6 month mentorship program for 50 bloggers that are ready to take their businesses to the next level.

If there’s a topic that can help you build a better business, then it is going to be covered. We’re taking nothing off the table.

Although we are taking applications, we don’t want you to be too scared to apply.

The reason for the application is not to prevent certain skill levels or types of bloggers from joining, rather it’s to make sure that we build an empowered community that is ready to do some pretty big things. The application is used to keep out negative people and non-believers. If that’s not you, then we encourage you to apply.

We also realized that offering this project only to Beyond Blogging owners might be unfair, so if you are interested in joining but don’t have your own copy of Beyond Blogging, then leave a comment on this post and I’ll contact you privately to arrange something on your behalf.

With the BBP, we’re going to be changing the way that business is done, and we hope to see you there.

If you’d like to learn more or submit an application, then download the intro PDF here.

Even if you aren’t sure if this is for you…it doesn’t hurt to apply. If you’d like to talk more, use the contact form to get in touch with me and we can discuss your situation in order to find out. Founding members get in for 1/2 of what this will cost next time, and we plan on treating them especially well.

Lastly…did I mention we have some very special guests joining us for the inaugural round?

The Silo

I’m also currently working with my friend and business partner Rich Lazzara to create practical online solutions for small businesses. Our first product is called Silo, and although I can’t tell you much about it yet, just know that we’re working very hard to create something that bridges the gap between where small businesses are now and where they need to be in order to survive.

Keep an eye out…we’ll be sharing the details soon.

Queue the Music Maestro

I’m not ready to let the cat out of the bag on this one yet either, but I will be very soon. I’ll simply say that I’m working on a special music project with Oleg Mokhov that is looking to be completely awesome.

We’re going to be conducting a survey very soon (you’ll get something cool just for helping out), so keep your eyes peeled.

Working through Challenges

So I said that this week has been tough on me…

It’s been one of those weeks where things just don’t come together as easily as you hoped they would. Nothing to do with a single project in particular, but more a case of overall effort not really being matched with results.

This is one of those valleys that usually precedes or follow a peak…it happens, and it’s important to maintain perspective.

I’ve talked with many of you this week on Skype, on Twitter, on Facebook, and via email, and that’s been fantastic. I hope to do more of that as we grow here.

There are some people that think using people as stepping stones is a good way to get ahead. There are others that forget where they came from and ignore the people that helped them become successful.

I’m not one of those people…and it’s my goal to help every single person here become successful. What fun is it to build an empire if you don’t have an army capable taking over the world?

Future Projects

I’m also considering some future projects…nothing big, just some fun stuff.

1.	Relaunch of my spiritual site: Live the Dharma
2.	1 Page Per Day: A website devoted to those of us trying to write a book but not finding the time. We’re going to write 1 page per day…keep records…and see what we end up with 365 days later.
3.	What’s your idea?

Who’s Ready to Dominate?

In the members newsletter [GCN], I talk a lot about leaders, and the world’s lack of them. I’ve got a new post coming on the subject, but before then, I want to ask you about heroes.

It seems that everyone needs a hero. I have them…I’m sure you have them. Some are still waiting.

My challenge for you today is this:

How can you become somebody’s hero?
