FINALLY Got a Road Bike Today

Comments Off

I promised myself I’d do a Triathlon first and see if I really had the courage to stick with it. Well, I did the Triathlon (on a Mountain Bike no less) and found myself utterly and hopelessly addicted. So, I decided to go out and buy an entry level road bike to begin my climb into the amateur Ironman ranks.

Well, I settled on a 2008 Trek 1.2 with the white/blue design because although I really wanted a Felt, the local bike shops only carried Cannondale, Trek, and Specialized. After riding around on all of them I decided to go with the Trek like my inspiration Chris Lieto. Here’s a picture:

All in all, I’m pumped because I’ve finally made a true commitment to the sport and have the means to actually accomplish more of my goals. My sights are on Kona, but first I’ve got a few stops to make. I’ll have my google calendar updated soon and I’ll post my race dates/schedule there.

In the meantime, check out these cool Triathlon shorts I got…$20 buys you shorts and a free hat!
