One reason I enjoyed this post is that it made something "click" for me. You talked about knowing you're living your purpose when you can't wait to get up in the morning, and you don't feel like you're working even if you are. Check! But: the new direction that's energizing me these days wasn't part of "the plan." I'd been feeling disconnected from my life for a while, even though I was following "the plan."

I finally decided to let go a few weeks back and go where my energy seems to be taking me. Amazing how nicely things are falling into place. News flash: life apparently has a different plan for me than the one I've been following.

Thanks for your thoughts.

I've been making a serious effort to "stay the course" lately. I even have notes on different cupboards that say, "stay the course" or "speak your truth" to remind me.

Just this week, I was in my kitchen and realized I wasn't rushing between tasks, or agonizing over a to-do list or fretting about returning calls. I felt this foreign feeling - what it must be to feel centered. I stood in that feeling for a couple moments.

Then I realized that I've been feeling that more frequently.

I think those moments are tangible indicators that I'm on MY path.

Sure, there will be moments of discontent, but my choices, and the resulting calm, tell me that I'm heading in the right direction.

That centered feeling makes the journey that much better, and it also allows me to focus more on the journey than the goals.

That centered feeling also makes it easier to be more patient.
